Meet Annette Andre

The 1960's and '70's, when I did the majority of my work in films and television, has come to be enshrined as Britain's “Golden Age”. To those of us both in front of and behind the camera, it was a wonderfully exciting and creative era – but none of us, least of all me, would have thought of it as a “Golden Age”. But now, in the retrospective of time and age, I do believe it was a blessed convergence of talented artists of all disciplines and a uniquely receptive audience. Time and again, those fans who saw the original productions or who have come to them in re-runs, use glowing adjectives to describe the pleasure those comedies and dramas from that era gives them. From co-starring in the film “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” and my own TV series “Randall & Hopkirk, Deceased” to the many episodes of such popular ones as “The Saint”, “The Prisoner”, “The Avengers” & many, many more, I feel so lucky to have fans the world over who keep in touch with me. I hope you will too. With warmest wishes, Annette Andre
